The Joys of moving...part 1.

So I was going to go move my tv and tv stand today. So I borrowed by mom's truck, and drove over to my place to start moving the tv into it. Me and my brother get it into the truck and then start to move it to the back. When we almost have it all the way back when...critical fumble, and off it goes into the back window. So the tv is ok, and we be okay, but now there is a nice hole in the back window of the truck (with the entire window being cracked throughout). To say the least, I am not moving my tv today.

Well, insurance is going to cover the window, but we are not sure when we are gong to be able to get it fixed (my mom just called, and we might be able to get it fixed tomorrow, but not sure). The truck is still at my place (it was going dark when this happened, and the window might come down if we try to drive it back to my parent's place). My mom is currently borrowing my car since she has plans in the morning, but she will have a rental later in the day so I can have my car back.

This "fun" experience and remembering how short my parent's truck bed is (my tall shelves are longer than the bed) is making me think of just getting a U-Haul. Of course I might need to be here Saturday for the glass people, and I'm not sure I could do a same day reservation (U-Haul closes at 8pm), so I will probably end up moving most of my stuff on Sunday instead. When on Sunday, I'm not sure (I just texted one of the people I'm moving in with to find out a good time). I do know I could always use some help though (the goal is to move my furniture since I can move the smaller stuff whenever in my car).

$20 for the truck and 0.79 a mile, the U-Haul is worth it if you have any furniture at all.
