So the first week of school is almost over (I don't have classes on friday)...
Being a graduate student RA (research assistant), I only have 3 classes (and then Practicum for the rest of my credits).
Mat 423 - Numerical Analysis I, A.K.A. Numerical Linear Algebra. From what was said on the first day of class, this is the math course I was looking for.
CSE 477/598 - Intro to CAGD. Getting it out of the way if anything else. I suspect this will be my easiest class since I'm already familiar with the subject.
CSE 591 - Statistical Pattern Recognition. Will probably be my hardest class (no suprise since its a special topic graduate course). I will probably learn a lot in here that will be useful later on.
These classes, coupled with 20hours+ a week for my RAship means I might be a bit busy once school is in full swing. My MW schedule (with work) is 10am-4:30ish and TTh is 10am-5:55 (yes, I will be perpetually late to THEM meetings again).
O yea, I find out I can get a copy of MATLAB as an RA in the engineering dept. (I needed a copy to run some software that involves the current grant I'm on). Of course finding this out was a feat in itself, since each dept and/or school has its own IT dept. as well as the ASU IT dept. Each of these IT dept's have their own software licenses, which makes finding out what licenses you can get interesting (since some of them don't have an easy list online to check).
