njordsifusansooSo I got into L.A. last night about 10pm. Not bad considering we left at 4pm. Btw, I love my honda civic with its 30+ mpg. I only got gas once at the border, when I was only at half a tank.
They put us up at the Millenium Biltmore. I'm in room 564. Its intersting since they have been filming some WB show in the lobby area.
Today has been setting up for Siggraph. Unloading all the stuff in my car for the studio was nice since they just put it on a pallet and brought it up for me (since the Guerilla Studio is on the 2nd floor). I am hoping we are going to be getting some Student Volunteers so I can have time off from scanning faces once the convention starts.
Btw, there is a full-sized X-wing set-up at the main entrance to the convention center (did I mention that George Lucas is the Keynote speaker this year).
For those in the area/going to be in the area, I am going to be in L.A. till Friday, the 5th of August. I might or might not be able to do stuff in the evening (if its like last year, I will be out of the studio by 7pm). I do have my cell-phone on me if you want to contact me. Dave has the number if you don't (and I don't feel like putting it in a public post).
