well, I found time to compile my homemade 2D screensaver (project 1 for cse470) and throw it on my webspace My ScreenSaver (right click on it and choose save as). It may not be the best 2D screensaver in the world, but at least I have a notion on how it works considering I made it.

To run it without actually making it your screensaver, enter into a command propmt (a dos box), move into the directory the screensaver is stored in, then type objecthurler.scr /s . if you want to configure it (sorry my radio buttons don't default to a value) change the /s to a /c.

Haha, very cool. Only tiny problem I have is the gears on the bottom left. The teeth really don't mesh well :\

thats only because I was lazy and just extended some points out from the 16 sided polygon instead of calculating squares.
