yea for long cables
Jun. 18th, 2008 01:39 pmSo I finally did something I've been meaning to do for a long time. I set it up so that my tv can play what's on my computer. It wasn't even that difficult, just involved a couple of long cords. Well 2 50ft cords to be precise (an S-video and an audio).
My old, 32 inch crt tv doesn't look to bad for a standard input over s-video. I currently have it at 1024x768 with my desktop still at its 1280x1024 (I'm currently extending my desktop). At 1024x768, it is even mostly readable (I can make out this text on it right now).
Btw, SF Cable seems to have decent pricing for cable (the 50ft s-video cost me a whole $16.63 through them).

Date: 2008-06-19 09:36 pm (UTC)there is also a media streaming program that works on the wii. it's called Orb. http://www.orb.com
you install it on your pc and then browse to a page on the wii web browser, and you can access all your media files through it.
