Any recommendations for an affordable wireless router that I can buy at say Best Buy (I need one for my new place and I have all these gift cards from the last 2 Christmases)?

You are good with any of the Big 3. Linksys, Netgear, D-Link.

Stay away from Belkin. Dynex is their store brand, but they have some cheap ones. Never used them, but I would be cautions of store brand electronics.

I use the Netgear mentioned above, no problems.

I've noticed issues with my D-Link Wireless N Rangebooster DIR-625 recently. I keep losing the connection. I'm still troubleshooting whether the router is failing (I bought N as an early adopter...whoops) or the cable modem...or if it's a cox problem. But it may be worth it to stay away.

Belkin's don't work with PS2s and such, but I hear good things about UI and quality. Just saying.
